The handy reading device has the capability to download books, blogs, magazines, and newspapers in pioneering the new-wave reading. Before the dedicated e-book devices, reading used to be done through thumbing the pages of a book. Readers today have the electronic option which is mobile, flexible and user-friendly.

Unlike other funky devices, the Kindle does not require a personal computer to download its media. Furthermore, syncing is smart and automatic. This feature comes with the purchase of the reader so users don't have to concern themselves with the wireless service plan, contract, or bills thereafter.

Whispernet is also Amazon's wireless delivery system. If you have a book in mind that you want to read, you can obtain it within a minute via this system. Customers are also allowed to download and go through the first few pages of the books for free. If you decide to buy it, you can then proceed to purchase and download it with a single click directly on your Kindle. The Kindle is a compact paperback-sized reader and you can carry a library of books around with it but still travel light.

Appearance-wise, this Kindle Portable eBook Reader is as impressive as its capabilities. The crisp black-and-white screen could easily be mistaken for some fine-grade printed paper. The high-tech virtual ink is designed to be just like real ink-on-paper in terms of appearance and readability so much so that there is no backlighting either. Therefore, it would not be difficult to read in bright sunlight and the screen never heats up so you don't have to limit how long you should be reading on that account.

Additionally, Whispernet leverages on Amazon's optimized technology plus Sprint's national high-speed (EVDO) data network for its users to wirelessly search, discover, download, and read content on the spot. The original Kindle eBook Reader is succeeded by an improved edition called Kindle 2. It retains a great deal of the winning features but minus the rough edges of the maiden version.
